Everyone in business is looking to make the most of their time and resources.  And the best way to maximize effort and productivity is to invest in the people you have around you.  A short face-to-face conversation goes a long way in showing someone he or she is valued and an important part of the team.

Consider the following antidote from Ken Griffey Jr.’s Mariners Hall of Fame induction weekend.  I promise that if this motivates one of the best baseball players of all time it can motivate the people around you too.
