Screen Shot 2014-05-09 at 8.51.14 AMThe first round of the 2014 Draft is in the books and the ratings are in.  It probably won’t surprise football fans to know the ratings are up nearly 50% from last year.

What does this mean for fans and everyone else?

Several things, including the fact that the NFL might choose to hold the draft during this time week from here on out, but what it really means for you today is this: millions of people are talking about the NFL draft.  And you should be too.

The story lines are everywhere from the expected overall No. 1 pick, to the fall of Johnny Manziel as the No. 22 pick.  You can talk about the World Champion Seattle Seahawks trading their way out of the first round,  the surprise pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 3 and of course you can talk about the TV ratings.

My point is this. We should all be looking for a way to connect with others in business.  Whether it’s our colleagues, managers, clients or potential clients.  The NFL Draft is already connecting millions of people.  Jump on the bandwagon – even if you’re not a hard core fan.  Join the conversations around you and connect with others.
