I often tell people that sports and athletics are the common denominator in today’s society.  I can offer numerous personal experiences as proof but finally have the ultimate proof – NPR.  I happened to be listening to the radio station on my way home from a great networking event with Ladies Who Launch.  The host spent 45 minutes talking about non-traditional sports like pie jousting and urban golf.  Last week they included LeBron James updates as part of their news headlines.  Sports updates are about the last thing I expect to hear on NPR,  but the fact they do pop up proves its worth knowing.    And even if you’re more drawn to a beer run, it’s okay.  A non-traditional sport still has the same elements of more commonly known sports, besides who wouldn’t want to talk about doing a red-dress run?
