What a great Monday for football fans – particularly if you live the Northwest.  Here’s what everyone will be talking about at the office today, along with a question to help get you going.  Remember, talking sports isn’t rocket science so if the questions seem easy or dull, that’s okay.  I’m just giving you a starting point.  You don’t need to have all the answers, or any answers for that matter, just be willing to listen to someone else share theirs.

The first BCS Poll of the year is out.  This is significant because this poll determines which teams will play for the national title.  Right now Oklahoma is number 1 followed by Oregon. Although the Ducks are the highest ranked team in the other polls.  Boise State is ranked second.  There are still 10 undefeated teams in college football, which makes for interesting discussions among fans.  What do you think of the polls?  Who do you think is going to end up playing for the national title?

Washington Husky fans saw a thriller on Montlake Saturday night.  The Dawgs beat Oregon State in double overtime.  It was a big win for the Huskies because they remain in contention for a bowl game.  What did you think of the game?  What do the Dawgs need to improve in the upcoming weeks?

It was a fantastic day on the Seahawks sidelines.  I was there for all the action and will tell you it the was the first time all year the Hawks looked like the same team fans see at Qwest Field.  Playing on the road has been tough for the Hawks, but they put together a solid game and beat the Chicago Bears. The Hawks defense sacked Jay Cutler 6 times and held the Bears to 0-12 on 3rd down conversions.  The offense exploded and newcomer Marshawn Lynch was a game changer.  What did you like most about the Hawks win?  How much does Lynch change the Hawks?

Just in case you’re following the latest Brett Favre drama, he’s expected to meet with NFL officials Tuesday.  How do you think it should be handled?  Are you evening paying attention to what Brett does off the field?

Baseball fans are following the ALCS (American League Championship Series) and the NLCS (National League Championship Series) Right now each series is tied 1-1.  The winners will advance and play in the World Series.  Have you watched any of the Rangers/Yankees Series and seen the hand gestures by the Rangers players?  It’s unique and something to look for.   Who do you think is going to World Series?  Why?
