Welcome to start of another week and another set of conversation starters for your week.

We start with one of the biggest headlines for Seahawks fans in the history of the team.  The referee who worked the Hawks Super Bowl game admitted he made a couple mistakes.  Wow!  That’s something Seahawks fans felt for a long time.  It was such a big story it made the top headline on the front page of the paper.  More proof that sports is a common denominator in society.  This will be brought up in conversations for years to come.  What do you think of the referee’s admission?  Does it change the way you think of the game?

Sunday’s Hall of Fame game marked the start of the NFL pre-season.  The Cowboys beat the Bengals  16-7.  It was the first chance to see Ochocino and Terrell Owens on the same team.  Did you see the game?  What did you think of the Cowboys win?

Closer to home, one of the big storylines for Seahawks is the battle for backup quarterback.  Matt Hasselbeck looks solid in training camp.  Who do you think will win the backup role, Charlie Whitehurst or J.P. Losman?

Check out this college football story. Boise State Head Coach Chris Peterson bans his players from posting on Twitter during the season.  What do you think about the ban?

From Major League Baseball, former Mariner Brandon Morrow came one out away from throwing a no-hitter against Tampa Bay.  Morrow struck out 17 batters in a dominating performance.   Did you see what Morrow did Sunday?  Do you think the Mariners would be a different team if he was still in Seattle?

Tiger Woods played his worst ever event as a professional last weekend.  Tiger finished 18 over par in a tie for 78th – in an 80 player field.  It’s led to speculation as to if, not just when, Tiger will return to his championship form.   What do you think about Tiger’s freefall?
