Happy Monday!  It was a big weekend of sports which means there’s lots to talk about around the Northwest.  We start with the Seahawks, and Hawks are fans are certainly excited about the win, but fans across the country are talking about Sunday’s game.

Most Seahawks fans – and players for that matter – took a “wait and see” approach into Sunday’s season opener against San Francisco.  Boy, did they show something!  The Hawks routed the 49er’s 31-6 giving Pete Carroll his first win as Seahawks head coach.  There’s so much to talk about with this game.  What did you like most? Can the Hawks sustain those results through the season?  Do you have any concerns about the team heading into Denver?  Hawks fans will have a lot to say this week.  Just keep the questions coming.

Recapping the college football weekend – Both the Huskies and Cougars started slow, but ended with wins.  Did you see the number of points Oregon scored in the first two weeks of the season?  120 points and 1,267 yards of total offense in wins against New Mexico and Tennessee. What do you think of the Northwest schools so far?

The Seattle Storm is on the verge of a second WNBA title.  Sue Bird has come up big in recent weeks with key shots in the final seconds of the game.  What do you think about the Storm’s chances?

About 3 weeks remain in the Mariners season.  Although, they haven’t given fans much to follow in recent weeks.  In fact, one of the biggest topics of conversation has been the way Mariners management has responded to this season and “media attacks.”  Most people started pointing fingers earlier in the season.  What do you think?  Who’s to blame for the M’s season?  Does Felix Hernandez have a shot at winning the Cy Young?
